Google to Build Data Centers in Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong

Google announced on September 27, 2011 that the company will set up three data centers in Asia, according to the Economic Daily News of Taiwan. Operations of the three data centers are expected to be kicked off within one to two years once construction begins. Google is reported to invest more than US$100 million in the data centers located in Taiwan and Hong Kong. Google has acquired 15 hectares of land for its data center in the Changhua county of Taiwan.
